The B Team plays its second group game in the Central League Cup when they face Salford at Lostock this afternoon (Tuesday).
Andy Taylor’s side just missed out on a win in their opening Group C match when Accrington Stanley equalised late on to secure a 1-1 draw after Joe Toole had struck first for the Whites.
Stanley have since beaten Salford to lead the five-team group but Wanderers can take a share of top spot with three points as they look to enhance their chances of going through to the semi-finals.
The B Team has a number of players out on loan gaining first-team experience across the pyramid, although forward Trevon Bryan, who is currently at Ashton United, is available to feature and potentially add to his game time.
Kick-off at Lostock is 1pm. Supporters are advised that there is no parking available on site and are asked to arrive no sooner than 15 minutes before kick-off.
