The B Team continues its pre-season build-up with a trip to Cumbria to take on Workington AFC tomorrow (Tuesday) night.
Admission to the game at Borough Park (KO 7.30pm) is £5 adults, £3 concessions, £1 for 16-18 years and under-16s free.
Andy Taylor’s young Whites – who lost 3-2 at Runcorn Linnets last Tuesday in their first public work-out – will face another stern test against a Workington side which plays in the top tier of the Northern Premier League.
The Reds have so far had an impressive pre-season campaign, which includes just one defeat in seven games and draws against sides from Carlisle United and Morecambe.
The visit of Wanderers will be Workington’s penultimate friendly before they kick-off their league campaign on Saturday, 10th August.
The B Team is gearing up towards the start of the Central League next month and the Central League Cup group stages which kick off in September.
