For the second consecutive month, Ian Evatt has been named Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month for November.
It’s back-to-back awards for the Wanderers’ boss after guiding the club to three victories in their four league matches, with a draw at promotion-rivals Oxford finishing the month - all without conceding a goal in League One.
Evatt topped a shortlist which also included Derby County’s Paul Warne, Steve Evans of Stevenage and Northampton Town’s Jon Brady to win the monthly award and collect the accolade for the 5th time in the EFL.
With the set of results taking Wanderers into the automatic places, and for a period in November to the top of Sky Bet League One, it’s a well-deserved award for Evatt.
“It’s lovely to receive individual awards but it shows the good work that the team are doing,” Evatt said.
“The wider coaching staff have put a lot of hours into helping me prepare the players, and the players have gone out there and executed our plans to perfection.
“It’s great when we put it all together, and against Exeter (won 7-0) we did that. We’re capable of that now, and it’s very much a team effort.
“The players’ performances have enabled me to get awards like this, so I’m really proud of them.”
The Sky Bet Manager of the Month judging panel comprises former Barnsley manager Danny Wilson, Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
