Over 1,000 people have now signed up to run or walk the upcoming Bolton Community 10k – and there is still time for you to join them!
Taking place on Sunday 28th April, the event is being facilitated by the club’s official charity, Bolton Wanderers in the Community, working in partnership with Bolton Wanderers FC, Bolton Council, Bolton CVS and Burnden Road Runners.
Around 40 local charities and organisations have taken advantage of the charity places donated by the Bolton Wanderers Remembrance Group, hoping to use the magnitude of the event to raise awareness and funds for their own causes.
Open to all abilities, the event starts and ends at the Toughsheet Community Stadium where a charity village will be in operation, providing space for all organisations involved to engage participants, offering information and activities.
Club partners Pure Ionic Water will be supplying the filtered water at the water stations and Applied Nutrition will be passing out energy gels and fuel hydration as participants reach the finish line.
In addition, Nuffield Health Bolton will be providing a ‘cool down and stretch area’ as well as giving away free passes to their health club. Injury Mechanics and Bolton University will kindly be offering free sports massages to all participants and T4Physio will be available for free gait analysis and footwear advice.
All runners will receive a medal on completing the course and have the unique opportunity to head pitch side for a photo in the stadium with their medal.
Entries are open until 21st April with race bibs to be collected on the morning of the event from the Fan Zone.
