Thanks to the contributions made by supporters into the Bolton Wanderers Development Association (BWDA) through a number of initiatives, the BWDA has helped to play an important role in the season ticket process for the upcoming 2024/25 season.
Whether through the matchday Golden Goal competition or the weekly Lifeline and Goldline Lotteries, Wanderers' supporters are making valued contributions to the BWDA to help support a range of projects at our Football Club on an annual basis.
With this in mind, the BWDA recently funded the purchase of new Magicard printers and ribbons to facilitate the swift procedure of printing cards ahead of distribution.
After consultation with Daniel Scott - Head of Ticketing at Bolton Wanderers - funds generated through the Lotteries scheme were able to purchase new machines that not only print at a faster speed but also feature greater quality and optimised security features.
In addition to this, the printers can integrate seamlessly with the existing infrastructure to deliver secure processing of ID credentials. With over 16,000 supporters securing their seat through season tickets for the upcoming campaign, this purchase proved vital with the first home league game against Wrexham just a matter of weeks away.
This is the latest in a list of improvements recently made through the support of BWDA funds, including the Audio Description Service on match days for those who are visually impaired, technology required to run the LED Screens on match days and upgrades at the club’s Lostock Training Ground in the form of a purpose-built meeting room.
With physical season tickets now landing through supporters’ doors, leaflets are also enclosed regarding the weekly fundraisers, so why not read up on the schemes, the benefits of joining and sign up today?
For just £1/£2 a week, supporters signed up to the BWDA Lotteries scheme are in with a chance to win weekly cash prizes ranging from £25 to £2,000, as well as supporting the development of the club.
Phil Mason, Chief Operating Officer at Bolton Wanderers, said: “The funding from our fantastic supporters through the BWDA has once again proved vital, this time in the Ticketing Department and the purchase of these printers.
“The process of printing and distributing season tickets is a complex process year-on-year, and these printers will prove incredibly beneficial moving forward – proving again how essential funding from the BWDA is and how it can improve facilities across the board.
“Our thanks must go to everyone involved in the BWDA – whether that be our contributing members or lottery agents to our loyal supporter base, for their continued backing season-on-season.”
