Bolton Wanderers is delighted to announce the launch of Fan Stones – an exciting new project in collaboration with Hardscape, who join the club as a Business Partner Elite Member.
Supporters will soon be able to leave their mark at the home of the Wanderers through commemorative Fan Stones to add colour, life and freshness to the Toughsheet Community Stadium.
These stones can not only act as a personal touch for yourself to feel closer to your football club, but can become the perfect gift for the Wanderers supporting loved one in your life.
As part of the partnership with Hardscape, the current stones outside of Main Reception at the Toughsheet will also be updated and replaced to give a unified feel - at no extra cost to the original purchase from Wanderers’ supporters.
In addition to this, the stones also currently in place surrounding the statue of club legend Nat Lofthouse will also be updated and replaced to give a unified feel outside our home – with the text on the stones following the branding of Wanderers’ club crest, dependent on the size of stone purchased.
This process will be done in phases to ensure an outstanding final product that will last over time at our home, with each phase of stones centred around a Wanderers’ club legend.
We are delighted to confirm that the first legend to be commemorated through the Fan Stones will be Club Ambassador, John McGinlay. With 118 goals across a magical five-year spell, Super John is the perfect legend to kick-start this exciting project.
If Wanderers supporters with existing stones already in place outside of the Toughsheet Community Stadium have any queries regarding this process and the replacement of their stone, please contact reception@bwfc.co.uk for further assistance.

“We are continually looking at ways to be innovative at the club, and the Fan Stones is the next step to doing just that. This project just emphasises that our vision is aligned with the values of Hardscape as a business.
“Further details of this will be communicated to supporters in due course, but this is a great initiative for supporters to be part of our home for years to come.
“Thanks must go to Hardscape for bringing this idea to life, and we look forward to working with them across the partnership.”
