Historic Partnership Renewal for Wanderers and Macron

Macron

Bolton Wanderers and Macron have agreed a landmark partnership extension that will see the sportswear brand continue as the Club’s Official Technical Kit Partner to the end of the 2030/31 season.

Long-time partners of Bolton Wanderers, the Italian sportswear brand initially forged a relationship with the Whites in 2014, becoming not only the Club’s kit manufacturers but also acquiring the stadium naming rights for what would become the Macron Stadium from 2014 – 2018.

Founded in Bologna in 1971, Macron is a leader in the production of sportswear apparel and now supplies bespoke Italian-designed kits to sports teams across the world. With a presence in the world of football, rugby and cricket, partner clubs alongside Bolton Wanderers include Real Sociedad, Bologna FC, Udinese Calcio, UC Sampdoria, FC Nantes, Crystal Palace, Stoke and UEFA’s referees.

Following the signing of this historic deal in recent weeks, the renewed partnership will see Macron continue to manufacturer Wanderers’ home, away and third kits as well as provide training wear for the first team and Club staff. The team will also deliver a new branded leisurewear range to Wanderers supporters from next season.

In addition, Macron will work with in-house Club staff to modernise and refurbish Wanderers’ retail store, on site at the Toughsheet Community Stadium, with the aim of providing an interactive and exciting shopping experience to supporters.

Neil Hart, Chief Executive Officer of Bolton Wanderers said: “We are delighted to extend our long-held partnership with Macron.

“There is so much history already between Wanderers and Macron, and we are pleased to have strengthened our links in the past couple of years. The team are superb to work with and are real champions of Bolton Wanderers.

“Kit sales are at an all-time high at the Club and their support for our Pick Our Kits initiative, alongside the quality and innovation of their products, has played a crucial part in that. I am pleased that the terms of this renewed commercial agreement are also vastly improved to the benefit of both Macron and Bolton Wanderers.

“My thanks go to Gianluca, Roberto, Marco and all the team at Macron for their work to bring this renewed deal to life. We look forward to continuing to work together for many years to come.”

Gianluca Pavanello, Chief Executive Officer of Macron said: “Our ties with Bolton Wanderers are really important to us as they represent a significant phase in our history.

“The club is part of the history of English football and it is an exciting challenge for us to develop new game sets for the players every year, along with merchandise for a fan base that is passionate about the colours and symbols of the club.

“We are delighted to extend our partnership for the long term. This agreement goes beyond the supply of technical teamwear. It is based on true friendship and mutual respect, and these values allow us to collaborate on the creation and development of innovative, unique and high-performance products.”
