Young Whites’ goalkeeper Luke Hutchinson is returning to Marine to spend a season-long loan with the newly-promoted National League North side.
The 21-year-old enjoyed a successful two-month spell with the Merseyside outfit last season before returning to Wanderers in February following an injury to Nathan Baxter.
Luke Southwood’s summer signing has further strengthened the Whites’ goalkeeping department, so Hutchinson gets the chance to gain further first-team experience at Rossett Park.
Marine won promotion to the National League for the first time in their history by beating Macclesfield Town in last season’s Northern Premier League play-off final.
The Mariners open their league season at home to Oxford City on Saturday, 10th August and face Vauxhall Motors in a friendly tomorrow (Saturday) with Hutchinson available to be involved.
