Tuesday marks the start of another important and busy week for Wanderers with three games in seven days, starting with an away trip to league leaders Birmingham City under the lights.
Ian Evatt's men will be looking forward to trying to extend their unbeaten run in the league to six games, having been victorious in four of their last five league fixtures.
Tuesday's hosts currently top the table and are seemingly dealing well with the pressure of being pre-season favourites following a summer spending spree.
The Blues' gamble in the summer to give Chris Davies his first managerial role is going as planned, with Birmingham winning eight of their opening ten games so far.
Manager Quotes
Ian Evatt: "This is probably as tough as it gets, the toughest game of the season, the toughest away game of the season.
"It's down to us to go and embrace that, enjoy it and try and find a way of getting a positive result. The players will be prepared, we'll come up with a plan and hopefully on the day that's the right one.
"I think it will be a high standard game. I think they play a style and a brand which is better suited to the higher echelons of the game and I think we try to do the same, to be aesthetically pleasing.
“We want to manage the ball and we want to be aggressive without it and I think that won't really change. They certainly won't change because they're flying and full of confidence, so I think it'll be a really good game."
Birmingham City Manager Chris Davies: “Bolton are a different side to Lincoln, they’re all about ball possession. They’re quite physical but they like to play.
“They have a good style and they were in the play-off final last year so they’ll be one of the stronger teams in the league. It’s another test and another different type of challenge for us on Tuesday.”
Team News
Ian Evatt revealed that George Thomason will be out of action until the end of November with a hamstring problem picked up in training. Eoin Toal's fitness will be assessed after his knock on international duty.
Gethin Jones and Jordi Osei-Tutu are working their way back to fitness but Carlos Mendes Gomes is not ready to return just yet. Wanderers will check on goalkeeper Nathan Baxter ahead of the trip.
Birmingham will be without Krystian Bielik who is set to miss out for a few weeks after picking up a knock against Charlton Athletic. Emil Hansson will need to be assessed ahead of Tuesday night after limping off at the weekend.
Lee Buchanan, Jay Stansfield and Luke Harris also miss out.
Form Guide
In terms of the form table, covering the last five games, Wanderers are top of that list having won against Reading, Crawley, Northampton and Burton Albion as well as drawing against Shrewsbury Town.
Last time out, goals from Aaron Collins and Randell Williams in the second half secured all three points against Burton Albion to leave the Whites in 11th position on 17 points.
Birmingham's start to the season has been well documented as they emerge as the team to beat in League One so far. Eight wins, one draw and one defeat has been enough to cement their position at the top of the tree.
A hard-fought victory on the road at Lincoln City was the latest victory for Chris Davies' side to take their points tally to 25 points after ten games.
