Mansfield Town are Wanderers' opponents on New Year's Day as the Whites take the trip to One Call Stadium on Wednesday and will be backed by a sold out away end of almost 1,700.
Ian Evatt's side are in high spirits after an emphatic display over Lincoln City on Sunday, where Wanderers came away 3-0 victors at the Toughsheet Community Stadium.
Wednesday's hosts were defeated 2-1 away to Reading on Sunday, so Nigel Clough's men will be after a quick response.
Wanderers have a fine record over the Stags having not lost to the side from Nottinghamshire since March 1991.
Manager Quotes
Ian Evatt: "We're still here pitching and we're still here to get the job done. We've still got a chance, an opportunity to do that. Yes, we are behind the curve a little bit but I don't think necessarily being underdog is a bad thing.
“Hopefully we can build on what we did on the 29th and take that into the first of four away games. We know it's going to be tough. Mansfield is always a tough place to go but we will be ready and we want to start to build some momentum and get this season rolling really."
Team News
Wanderers didn't pick up any new injury concerns from the 3-0 home victory over Lincoln City.
Aaron Morely will soon be available to the Whites following his loan spell with Wycombe, but only after the 1st of January - ruling him out of Wednesday's game.
Unfortunately, Kyle Dempsey has had a significant setback with his knee injury which has kept the midfielder out for the past two months. The 29-year-old will now have tests to see if he will be out for a further two months or potentially the rest of the season.
For the Stags, striker Lee Gregory could return to the starting XI after making an appearance off the bench in their defeat to Reading on Sunday.
Midfielder Ben Quinn remains out with a shoulder injury having been out since November.
Form Guide
Last time out on the road, the Whites took a battling point back to Bolton against then league leaders, Wycombe. That was the first time the Chairboys had failed to score in a league game all season.
Wanderers sit in 8th, three points outside the top six after victory in their final game of 2024.
Wednesday's hosts have won twice since losing to the Whites in early December including a 3-0 victory on the road against Peterborough United.
The Stags have won just one of their last five home league games, however that win occurred in their most recent home match with a 1-0 win over Rotherham United.
Kick off
