Wanderers are in outstanding form as they welcome Shrewsbury Town to the Toughsheet on Saturday having won three straight league games.
Goals from John McAtee, George Thomason, Eoin Toal and Dion Charles ensured a comprehensive 4-2 win over Northampton Town on Tuesday night.
The visitors sit second from bottom as we approach the ten-game mark with just one league win to their name.
The Whites have a sterling home record against Salop - having remained unbeaten against Town since 1990 on their own patch.
Manager Quotes
Ian Evatt: "I think it’s a case in point from my whole time here, when we get that first goal we are a difficult team to contain.
“It is so difficult to build but so quick to lose and drift away, so when you get these runs going you have to fight really hard to continue them and that’s our mindset, we have had a good few games but that’s it. We need to win our home games, Saturday and the one against Burton following the break, and if we do the start actually looks pretty solid."
Shrewsbury Boss Paul Hurst on his side's start to the season: "We have said how strong the league is, and a lot of people who have watched us are telling me they think we are playing pretty well and ultimately have had a tough start.
"There are not many easy games in this league, I have said that from the off. All I will do is keep working with the players."
Team News
Ian Evatt has confirmed that Chris Forino will require surgery and will be out for around 3-4 months as the defender recovers from a hamstring injury which the summer signing suffered against Arsenal.
Klaidi Lolos made his return to the matchday squad on Tuesday and will soon be joined by Carlos Mendes Gomes who could feature in next week's Bristol Street Motors Trophy game against Aston Villa U21s.
The Whites’ defensive department is also set for reinforcements after the upcoming international break with both Gethin Jones and Will Forrester close to returns.
For the visitors, skipper Carl Winchester missed out on Shrewsbury's home fixture with Stockport County on Tuesday with a calf injury.
The same injury will keep Joshua Kayode out of this weekend's game, with the striker expected to be on the sidelines for another three weeks.
Form Guide
Three league wins in three for Wanderers has put them back in the top half of the table and looking for more this weekend in front of their own supporters.
Shrewsbury sit 23rd on four points with no wins in their last five including defeats to Stockport County, Mansfield Town, Charlton Athletic and Wrexham.
Salop have of course already faced Wanderers this season in Round Two of the Carabao Cup with the Whites coming out victorious in a 2-0 win thanks to goals from Jordi Osei-Tutu and Dion Charles.
Kick-off
Saturday, 3pm.
Referee
Scott Oldham will officiate the game.
Strangely enough, he last refereed Wanderers in the 2-2 draw against Shrewsbury Town in April last season.
