Bolton Wanderers are delighted to announce the key appointment of Phil Mason as the Club’s Chief Operations Officer.
With some twenty years’ service already to his name, Phil is one of Wanderers’ most respected and recognisable staff members having held a number of critical roles at the Club prior to this most recent move.
As Chief Operations Officer and deputy to CEO Neil Hart, Phil’s role will oversee all stadium and facilities operations, including the management of capital projects, he will lead safeguarding at the Club and will also work closely with Wanderers’ HR department in supporting staff.
In addition, Phil will continue as the Chief Executive Officer of the Club’s official charity, Bolton Wanderers in Community (BWitC) – a position he has held for ten years – further strengthening the close synergy between club and community at the Whites.
During his tenure at BWitC, Phil has overseen the growth of the charity to a £1.4 million organisation, touching the lives of 15,000 individuals every year and employing over 50 staff members.
Phil has also held the position of Club Chaplain since 2003.
