The B Team faces an attractive home friendly against Rangers B tomorrow (Tuesday).
Andy Taylor’s side faces the young Gers at Wanderers’ Lostock training ground (KO 11.30am).
The game adds to the Whites’ varied fixture list designed to give the B Team players a variety of opposition and challenges as part of their development.
B Team Head Coach Taylor said: “This should be an excellent game for the lads to test themselves and for us to see them against a different type and calibre of opposition.
“These are the kind of fixtures we want, mixed in with the Central League games and other friendlies we play.
“We currently have quite a few players out on loan and playing first-team football, which is fabulous for their development, and this is will give others the chance to get some game time and show what they can do.”
Rangers B no longer play in the Lowland League but have played a number of friendlies north and south of the border this season and also compete in the SPFL Trust Trophy and Glasgow Cup.
The two teams will meet again at the end of the season when Wanderers go to Glasgow to play a return fixture in April.
Supporters are welcome to attend Tuesday’s fixture but are reminded that there will be no parking available on site and anyone attending is asked not to arrive more than 15 minutes before kick-off.
Meanwhile, forward Ben Andreucci became the latest B team player to secure a loan move when he joined National League North side Buxton for a month ahead of their weekend fixture at Blyth Spartans, which was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
