A few changes in the Whites’ camp saw David Abimbola one of those introduced and he made instant impact as he rose highest in the box from James Westwood’s cross. Abimbola’s across goal header hitting the frame of the bar.
After a lengthy period of added-time, it looked as though the Whites would hold out for a 1-0 win on home territory. However, Daeshon Lawrence added a second to secure the victory as he won the ball off the Blackpool goalkeeper and won the foot race between the two to fire the ball into an empty net.
