Wanderers’ fans are invited to an exclusive Q&A event with two men who know the club inside and out – all in the name of charity.
Current Whites’ manager Ian Evatt will be joined by Bolton legend and former boss Sam Allardyce on Friday 12th July for an evening of drinks, questions, and stories - some of which have never been told before.
All proceeds from the event at the Toughsheet Community Stadium will go to Utilita Giving, the official charity partner of our Back of Shorts Sponsor, Utilita Energy.
Ian will look back on a successful first four years in charge of the Whites and talk about his plans for the coming season.
Sam, meanwhile, brings four decades’ worth of tales from the club, having played for the Whites between 1971-1980 and again in 1985-1986, before his unforgettable eight-year stint as manager up until 2007 which brought Premier League and European football to the then Reebok Stadium.
Carl Sanderson, Head of Commercial at Bolton Wanderers, said: “Ian and Sam are two of our top managers of the modern era and having them together in the same room will be a real treat for fans.
“This will be a unique opportunity to hear directly from two of the key men charged with shaping Wanderers’ fortunes in the past, present and future.
“It promises to be a wonderful evening of entertainment for supporters and a special opportunity to raise vital funds to aid the charitable work of a valued partner in Utilita Energy.”
By raising money for Utilita Giving, the evening will prove crucial in helping people out of fuel and food poverty across England, Scotland and Wales.
The charity provides such support in the form of grants, specialist advice and in some cases, thorough signposting to useful resources.
Keira Meadus from Utilita Giving said: “We are incredibly grateful to Utilita and Bolton Wanderers for allowing us to be a part of their partnership and put on such an event.
“There are few better ways to be seen by so many people and raise awareness than through football.
“We have forged some incredibly strong relationships in Bolton and the surrounding areas, thanks to both the Club and company, and we continue to reach even more vulnerable people across the area.
“Thank you again. Together, we are making a real difference.”
The Q&A will take place on Friday 12th July from 6:30pm, with the Q&A starting from 7:30pm, in the Lion of Vienna Suite at the Toughsheet Community Stadium.
Tickets, priced £25 for adults and £18 for under-12s, can be purchased HERE. There will be an additional cost for food.
