On Wednesday 9th October, Bolton Wanderers in the Community invited young people from their weekly Pikes Lane Football Sessions to the Toughsheet Community Stadium for a tour and focus group session aiming to better understand the perspectives of ethnic minority groups and address possible barriers to matchday attendance.

We would like to thank Bolton Wanderers' Chief Financial Officer Niaz Shazad, who took the time to talk to participants about his personal journey and carving out a positive future for yourself.

Our Pikes Lane Football sessions are a continuation of the Unity Alliance partnership between Bolton Wanderers in the Community and Bolton Solidarity Community Association.

Focused on uniting young people from diverse global majority communities in Rumworth and Great Lever, sessions aim to reduce tensions and foster community cohesion. The sessions also feature informal workshops where participants discuss local issues and share solutions to the challenges of growing up in Bolton.

Our Premier League Fans Fund cohesion project aims to understand the perspectives of underrepresented groups and address possible barriers to match day attendance. For more information contact cnoel@bwitc.org.uk.
