Stevenage | Her Game Too

HGT

Bolton Wanderers are pleased to announce that tomorrow's home game against Stevenage (3rd October) will be our dedicated Her Game Too fixture.

Her Game Too is a female fan-led movement that aims to foster an ethos of respect and inclusivity for women across the game.

Wanderers have been partnered with the Her Game Too campaign since March 2022 and join a whole host of clubs ensuring women and girls of all ages feel confident and safe sharing their opinion about football both online and in everyday life, without fear of sexist abuse.

As part of the show of support, Wanderers’ players will be warming up in Her Game Too branded shirts, in partnership with Club sponsor Utilita, and supporters will see Her Game Too branding in and around the stadium.

In addition, Bolton Wanderers women and girls players will walk out with the first team ahead of kick-off and will also take part in a lap of the pitch at half time, presenting the trophies and medals they secured during the 2022/23 season.

Her Game Too ambassadors will be present in the Fan Zone to chat to supporters and fans will be able to grab a snap with the Her Game Too selfie board!

Neil Hart, Chief Executive Officer at Bolton Wanderers said: “We’re delighted to once again be teaming up with Her Game Too to raise awareness at the upcoming Stevenage fixture for their important campaign.

“We want everyone connected to our club to feel safe and valued, and amplifying this initiative is a key part of our ongoing commitment to inclusivity at Bolton Wanderers."
Neil Hart, CEO

"We hope all who attend on Tuesday enjoy the game.”

Emily Clinton, Her Game Too Ambassador for Bolton Wanderers said: “I am delighted that Bolton Wanderers, as part of our partnership, are dedicating tomorrow's fixture against Stevenage to #HerGameToo, to show their continued support in ensuring the club is inclusive.

“It is important to continue to raise awareness of the sexism that women and girls face for supporting, working in or playing football, but also to celebrate the women and girls who support, work for and play for the club.

“I hope everyone attending this fixture enjoys the game and thank you to everyone who continues to support the campaign.”

We want everyone to feel welcome at Bolton Wanderers, so should you ever be subject to or witness any incidents of sexism, please report this directly to the ‘One Wanderers’ reporting system via text or WhatsApp on 07542 850 902.
