Joint Interim Club CEOs Phil Mason and Niaz Shazad attended the event, along with Mayor of Bolton Andrew Morgan, Mayoress of Bolton Karen Holdsworth and Imam Imran Hussein. All were invited to take part in the Iftar which is the evening meal with which Muslims break their fast during the month of Ramadan.

The project was also supported by the Premier League Fans Fund programme in partnership with BSCA and Mylahore.

Reflecting on the event, Joint Interim Club CEO Phil Mason highlighted the strength of the community here in Bolton. He said: "This is the third year that we have held an Iftar event and, year on year, it is growing with more communities attending. It was a real pleasure to welcome to the stadium all those who attended what was a real celebration of the diversity in Bolton with the clear message that we are stronger together."

The evening included a Quran recitation from Imam Imran Hussein and speeches from Phil Mason and Niaz Shazad before the feast began. Pupils from St. Michael's Church of England Primary School took to the stage to perform a musical production for the guests.

Cormac Noel, BWitC’s Community Cohesion Officer, described the importance of the occasion. “Events like our Community Iftar show the positive impact we can have when our community comes together," he said. "We would like to thank Shabnum, Niaz, Phil, Mylahore and the BSCA for coming together to help support the run up to the event. We believe in One Club, One Community, One Town and these events showcase how our club and community can come together to make this a reality.”
