Ahead of Wanderers' visit to Huddersfield Town on Saturday, we advise supporters to read through the following travel information which includes impact to train services on matchday.
In addition, Huddersfield have provided an Away Fan Guide with useful information ahead of visiting Yorkshire on the weekend.
Impact to train services:
TransPennine Express:
- TPE services that run between Manchester Victoria and Leeds/York will use a diversionary route between Manchester Victoria and Dewsbury, with an extra stop at Brighouse. From Brighouse, there will be a rail replacement bus service towards Huddersfield every 15 minutes (12-minute journey).
- TPE services that run between Manchester Piccadilly and York (via Wakefield Kirkgate) will be split in two: they will run between Manchester Piccadilly and Stalybridge, and between Wakefield Kirkgate and Leeds. Rail replacement bus services will run between Stalybridge and Huddersfield every hour – one direct one and one that stops at Mossley, Greenfield, Marsden and Slaithwaite. A rail replacement bus service will also run hourly between Huddersfield and Wakefield Kirkgate, with calls at Deighton, Mirfield, and Dewsbury.
Northern:
Northern services between Sheffield and Huddersfield will run between Sheffield and Lockwood instead of Huddersfield, with a rail replacement bus shuttle between Lockwood and Huddersfield.
- Northern services between Huddersfield and Bradford Interchange will not run. An hourly replacement bus service will run between Huddersfield and Halifax, calling at Brighouse. From there, they can customers can get on a rail replacement bus towards Huddersfield.
- Northern services between Huddersfield and Leeds will run between Leeds and Bradford Interchange via Dewsbury, every two hours, calling at Cottingley, Morley, Batley, Dewsbury, Ravensthorpe, Mirfield, Brighouse, Halifax, and Low Moor.
In short, fans that normally travel into Huddersfield by train will still be able to travel to Huddersfield, but they’ll have to get on a rail replacement bus which will take a bit more time.
