Trophy Team News | Wanderers v Huddersfield Town

Player arrivals Huddersfield

Jordi Osei-Tutu is among the starters as Wanderers name a strong line-up to take on Huddersfield in the first knock-out round of the Vertu Trophy.

The fit-again wing-back – impressive as a substitute in last Tuesday night’s League One win over Mansfield Town – comes into the side for the first time since the Whites’ opening game in the competition at Barrow in September.

Boss Ian Evatt makes seven changes to the side that started the victory over the Stags but includes all senior men as Wanderers also keep half an eye on Saturday’s visit of Wigan Athletic.

Huddersfield, currently fourth in League One, make six changes to their side which won 2-1 at Mansfield last Saturday.

Gethin Jones, Ricardo Almeida Santos, Victor Adeboyejo and Jay Matete retain their places, with captain George Thomason among those to return following a one-match ban.

Wanderers: Southwood, Jones, Thomason, Almeida Santos, Adeboyejo, Charles, Osei-Tutu, Forrester, Lolos, Williams, Matete. Substitutes: Baxter, Johnston, Dacres-Cogley, Schön, Collins, McAtee, Sharples-Ahmed.
