Wanderers Confirm Craddock Departure

Craddock

Bolton Wanderers can confirm that Matt Craddock has ended his stay with the club. Craddock moves on after three years in a variety of coaching roles at the Toughsheet Community Stadium.

The 40-year-old initially joined Wanderers as Head of Coaching in September, 2021 having previously worked for the FA and Preston North End.

Craddock was then appointed Head Coach of Wanderers’ newly-created B Team in the summer of 2022 and having successfully developed that project was promoted to the senior staff following the departure of Sam Hird in October, 2023.

Craddock operated as first-team coach as Wanderers went on to reach the League One play-off final at the end of the 2023/24 season.

Manager Ian Evatt said: “I’d like to thank Matt for all the work he has done during his time at the club.

“He made an important contribution in all the positions he filled, initially working with our young players and was pivotal in the introduction of the B team, then as a valued part of my coaching staff.

“We constantly review every aspect of how we run the football side of the club and following talks with the Board the change we have instigated is purely down to a re-structure of the coaching department.”

Everyone at Wanderers would like to thank Matt for his valued contribution in all the roles he has filled during his time at the club and wish him well in his future career.
