Bolton Wanderers will pay respect to all those who have lost their lives in conflict at the club’s annual Remembrance fixture, taking place at the Toughsheet Community Stadium on Saturday.
For the Blackpool fixture, supporters are advised to be in their seats by 2.45pm to join in the commemorations before kick off (3pm).
A guard of honour including military veterans and family representatives of those who have lost their lives in conflict - and were Wanderers fans - will welcome the players on to the pitch.
Club Chaplain, Phil Mason, will then read the Ode to Remembrance, wreaths will be laid on the pitch and a bugler will play the Last Post, prior to a minute’s silence.
The players will then commence the fixture wearing shirts bearing the poppy as part of the afternoon’s Remembrance activities.
From kick off, these shirts will be made available for auction via Match Worn Shirt, in aid of the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal. More information on the auction will be made available ahead of kick off.
