Bolton Wanderers Women’s County Cup tie against Morecambe FC Reserves – due to take place on Sunday 20th October at 2pm – will now not take place due to the opposition being unable to fulfil the fixture.
As a result, we have been given the result and will make our way into the next round of the County Cup. Our opponents will be confirmed in due course.
The Whites were set to return home to the Dreams2Reality Stadium this weekend to take on the Shrimps but with the away side not fulfilling the game, Wanderers march on.
As a result, Myles Smith’s side will use the free weekend as an opportunity to get further work into the squad on the training field as they ramp up preparations for the visit of Tranmere Rovers Women in the Alliance Design & Print Cup.
This tie against higher league opposition will take place at Victory Park – home of Chorley FC – with admission free for all supporters to head down and show their support.
