Bolton Wanderers Women take on Accrington Stanley on Sunday 15th December in a much anticipated fixture - with both sides boasting 100% league records this season.
It is Wanderers' final fixture of 2024 before the Christmas break and Myles Smith will travel to east Lancashire looking to sign off with a huge result heading into the New Year.
The game is taking place at Accrington and Rossendale College (BB5 2AR) with a kick-off of 2pm, with Wanderers wearing their white home kit on Sunday afternoon.
But in the form of Accrington, the Whites know they face a stern test this afternoon. With seven wins from seven in the Division One North and a valiant effort in the Adobe FA Cup before being knocked out by Huddersfield, Accy know how to get results.
For Myles Smith, speaking in his pre-match interview on Wanderers TV here, knows exactly what they are up against when making the short trip over to Accrington this weekend.
"I've been to watch Accy a couple of times and we've done our analysis on them - and they have a few different ways of playing," he said.
"We're prepared for whatever system they put out and what differences they may make on the day but we go into games confident of how we play.
"We tweak things for the opposition - game-by-game - but we have our way of playing and have complete trust in the players. I think that is what has led us to be 10 wins from 10 so far.
"Of course, we respect every opposition that we play but we aren't going to rip up the game plan as at the moment, we're the team that people will be fearful of and that's how we feel heading into Sunday."
Wanderers head into this fixture on the back of a confident 9-0 win over Atherton LR last weekend, with Faye Knox grabbing a hat-trick at Lostock in the Whites' first game in over a month due to postponements.
That will stand Myles Smith's side in good stead with match minutes back in their legs and bodies now refreshed and ready to go following a heavy workload for his schedule prior to the four-week break from football.
A reminder that kick-off is at 2pm on Sunday, and we are hoping to see many of our supporters backing the team once again on the road.
