On the back of a free weekend, Bolton Wanderers Women return to action on Sunday afternoon when making the trip to face Haslingden Girls and Ladies in search of another league double.
With just five league games to go and the upcoming Challenge Cup Final, Wanderers used their last weekend without a fixture before the end of the season to refresh and regroup ahead of a testing final block of fixtures.
Those games start with the first of three consecutive away league games - plus the Cup Final - when facing Haslingden at Marl Pits (Newchurch Road, BB4 7SN) this weekend, kick-off 2pm.
The Whites head into this fixture in confident mood, also, having recorded their highest winning scoreline of the season last-time out when sweeping aside Blackpool in convincing fashion.
Running out 11-1 winners - with five different players on the scoresheet - with Madi Hardman, Eleanor Seals, Eboni Bradshaw, Faye Knox and debutant Grace Grundy all making their mark in a sun-soaked afternoon by the seaside.
But with superb results come selection headaches, with the Wanderers Women coaching staff having a plethora of talent available to pick from at a vital stage of the season.
With just Erin Smith recovering from injury within the squad, Wanderers have competition for places across the board and will be looking to continue their recent attacking intent on Sunday afternoon.
But in front of them is a Haslingden side that have been resolute in recent weeks. Although their run of games suggest inconsistencies in terms of results, their approach and performances have perhaps warranted more points on the board.
Losing out 3-2 against Atherton LR in a tight encounter last time out, Haslingden were unlucky not to pick up points away to Accrington Stanley earlier this month - losing out 2-1 in a game that could have swung either way in the closing stages.
With that in mind, Wanderers also carry experience of that exact threat and challenge ahead of them, having had to come from behind themselves against Haslingden back in September.
A Jess Lightfoot brace cancelled out Bethany Macdonald's opener in the end, but Myles Smith's side had to be patient throughout the 90 minutes in getting themselves in front to ensure they secured the three points at the Dreams2Reality Stadium.
Myles Smith, Women's manager said: "They've been defensively resolute in the footage that we've seen of them - and we went to go and watch them a few weeks back - and analysed a few of their recent games.
"They're a team that needs to be respected, in the sense of they will put their backs against the wall to keep hold of a clean sheet.
"Even in the first game we played against them - for a team like they are - if they get the first goal then our job becomes even harder.
"But with that being said, they are capable of doing a few things. They can also come out and go after us but they can also stay in shape and put people behind the ball. We're preparing for both with the team in training.
"They were very unfortunate not to get something, and at least a point, against Accrington Stanley - who are a very good team - so we have to make sure we know what to do when we go there on Sunday.
"We have to be patient with the ball, and the goal will take some work to hopefully put us in front, and then we'll see come the end of the game if we have done enough."
