Bolton Wanderers Women play their second game of the league season on Wednesday evening when taking on Atherton LR Women, kick-off 7pm.
Myles Smith's side head into this fixture in positive fashion following an emphatic 6-0 victory over Workington Town Women on the opening weekend, with goals from Jess Lightfoot, Katie Holt, Charlotte Tyers, Eboni Bradshaw and a double from Milla Hodson securing an eye-opening win.
Sitting 3rd in the table after one round of fixtures, Wanderers are back at home again on Wednesday at the Dreams2Reality Stadium - home of Atherton Collieriers - facing a local derby in the form of Atherton LR.
LR opened their season with defeat to Accrington Stanley Women last weekend, and will be looking for a response when facing Wanderers on Wednesday.
The two sides met in pre-season as the Whites used the fixture as a way of getting prepared for the 2024/25 campaign. Wanderers secured victory in that game, and will be looking to do the same in the league fixture in this midweek fixture.
Admission at the Dreams2Reality Stadium is free, for all supporters. So come down and show your support for our Women's team and see this new, exciting journey for our Football Club live in-person!
