Born in Lambeth, Williams started out at Tottenham Hotspurs' academy before spending a year at each of both Crystal Palace and Watford without making an appearance.
In 2019, the winger really settled in at Exeter City and caught the eye with a number of performances. At the end of his first full season, Williams recorded five goals and 14 assists leading to winning the club's Player of the Season award.
A move to the Championship with Hull City followed where he would make 20 appearance for The Tigers.
In January of 2023, Wanderers signed Williams for an undisclosed fee on a two-and-a-half year contract.
